The above photo is one of my favorite bikes, a Motobecane Team Champion made for Tour De France 30 years ago on my stationary trainer that permits me to ride my bike in the apartment or on the patio. This was my missionary apartment in Huntington Beach but I now had my bike set up like this on my porch here in Laie, HI.
This is about what my days tend to look like:
5:00am Wake up and get dressed
5:20am Start running and swimming, usually about 40min and 20min respectively plus stretching
6:30am Return home and jump on my bicycle for another 20-40 min
7:10am Shower, eat, and study form the most important books: The Scriptures
8:00am Academic study or start working depending on workload
9:00am Work (I own a locksmith business)
5:00pm Complete work for the day if possible and get dinner (often this is wishful thinking as I don't get to eat until 7 or 8pm)
6:00pm Shower again and get ready for evening
7:00pm Go out for evening (depending on the night of the week I have meetings, Swing Dance instruction that I teach at BYUH's Swing Club, or other social activities)
10:00pm Get home and shower again and prepare for bed
10:30 or
11:00pm Go to sleep
Please remember that this is how a day that is typical goes but all too often it's a lot more demanding (i.e.
Doing lock work in the sun on a hot day after the normal 2 hours of exercise and before another 2 hours of
intense physical activity swing dancing (if you doubt how intense swing can be, you should see it for yourself,
Brandon style.) in addition to not getting to bed until closer to midnight). Some days I am engaged in aerobic
exertion for a full 12 hours. Contrary to the stigma, weekends are usually just as busy if not more so. I do
not work or excise on Sundays but I still arise the same time and study, contact distant friends, and so
